LENZING ECOVERO Viscose is a man-made cellulosic fibre (MMCF), derived from wood pulp. LENZING ECOVERO fibres are recognised by CanopyStyle and EU Ecolabel certification as meeting high standards for environmental practice. This includes a low risk of sourcing raw materials from ancient or endangered forests, and the recycling of water and chemicals in the processing stages. According to Worldly's life cycle impact assessment data, LENZING ECOVERO branded viscose fibres generate up to 50% lower emissions and water impact compared to conventional viscose.
Through our work with not-for-profit organisation Canopy, we are sourcing more than 95% of our viscose fibres from producers that have a green shirt rating according to the most current CanopyStyle Hot Button Report. This rating is a reflection of Canopy's assessment of the producers' engagement with CanopyStyle audits, their contribution to conservation, innovation initiatives, sourcing policies, transparency and chemical management.
